10 Reasons To Cycle Up Your Life!

My love for biking started because of my ambition to stay active throughout my time at university. As soon as I got my paycheck at the end of the month, I researched all the possibilities and bought my first ride – a Traditional Viking Belgravia ♥. It was love at first sight.

Due to my love for the design of the actual bike AND my new lifestyle, I’d like to share ten reasons you should drop your car/bus and hop on your bike TODAY!

… and yet again, enjoy the ride!

  1. Save the P’s!

It’s obvious moving your legs to power your ride instead of paying for fuel is more feasible! If there is a possibility – what’s the reason not to? (Okay, I understand if it’s raining, I get it, I get it…)

2. Better for you…

Cycling – just like any other cardio exercise – pumps up your heart, making you fitter, preventing heart disease by 50% and keeping your cells in working order.

3. …better for the planet

Did you know? 20 bicycles fit into the same space as 1 car! It also takes about 5% of the materials and energy used to make a car to build a bike – and remember, a bike produces 0 pollution.

4. Avoid the traffic!

It is a no brainer – everybody experiences SOME sort of road rage. Fear no more! Your bike allows you to squeeze into tiny gaps, and likely, get you there quicker.

5. You’re developing a POSITIVE addiction

Replacing a harmful dependency – e.g. cigarettes, alcohol – with a positive one. The result? You’re a happier, healthier person getting the kind of fix that boosts the good things in life.

6. Spend quality time with your loved ones

Sitting in a car is comfortable, but is it really fun? What beats a good bike ride around your town – the places you’d never bother to walk or drive by?

7. Improve your body!

Cycling for 20 minutes a day seems like much less effort than going to the gym – but it serves for many benefits physically. Better than running – due to less force crashing through your body when your foot strikes the ground – it is a great starter for losing weight (along with a healthy diet).

8. Release the stress!

I don’t know what it is – but cycling just makes me feel free. It’s something about the wind in my hair that gives the feeling of freedom! ♥

9. Time management

You’ve left the house late? Walking at a faster pace won’t really help… But what about using your legs to cycle and reduce worry at the same time?

10. Be happy!!!
