Why are some of us not comfortable living our lives bare faced? What really is stopping us from embracing our imperfections and can a few pimples affect our feeling of self worth and confidence with time? I, a strong believer of ‘change your look, change your life’ have taken a step to own my imperfect skin and share my experience as I go. Continue reading
Winter is in full swing, and isn’t stopping for anyone! Working in a professional office environment where a pair of joggers and a hoodie aren’t approved while having to wake up extremely early to catch our morning train can be tricky – especially when the air con isn’t working to our favour. But fear no more – here are my three favourite, quick-to-put-together outfits for those chilly days at the office.
Next on my list: Denmark. As you can probably tell, I am on a whim of ticking the beautiful region of Northern Europe off my list. For that reason, it was time to visit Denmark, the alluring country of eternal hygge and the most happy city in the world – Copenhagen.
Copenhagen – a place full of pastel-coloured streets, compact layout and hundreds of bikes on every corner, has greeted me in the most magical and freezing way possible.
As the (in many ways terrific) year of 2016 has come to an end, it is only appropriate I take the time to look back at all the knowledge, positivity and different worlds I have picked up throughout it, giving you a glimpse of each along the way. Sit back, and enjoy the ride.
It’s time to look back on 2016 and sum it up with my top ten favourite moments and best decisions I’ve made this year. Who did I meet and what was my favourite place I’ve visited? Continue reading
I have always been intrigued by how many cosmetic products women (and modern men) use on an everyday basis. It gave me some food for thought, because as much as we enjoy using them, it doesn’t always feel right to pack your skin with chemicals that don’t naturally occur in our bodies. For this reason I have been trying to incorporate products with more natural ingredients into my everyday routine and here are a few with which you can start your natural beauty journey today! Hel yeah Finland! I finally found you amongst Europe and enjoyed your beauty in full winter swing. Thank you for a great yet freezing and utterly magical time. Do you want to hear why I loved you so much?
First of all, lets realise you’re actually pretty big for the size of your population. There are only approximately five million people in an area of 330,000 km²! To add to that, there are over 180,000 lakes and over 2 million saunas in the country. Pretty impressive if you ask me, Finland! Continue reading
Are you tired of living with dreams but never making them happen? Do you seek for a shift of perspective or a bit of a motivation? I get it, I have been there before. Look no more and brighten up your life with these top ten picks I know you will thank me for.
Norway has been the first Scandinavian country I’ve visited not only this year but in my entire life. I’ve had my eyes on Norway, Sweden and Finland since forever, but I never came around to visiting as somehow these countries always seemed unreachable. How come? It might have been because of the cooler climate, or the absence of Scandinavia in media that delayed my visits for a while. Whatever it was is long gone now, as I finally took my first step on Nordic land, and I had the pleasure of discovering Oslo at its most colourful time of the year.
Although 2016 marks my 10th anniversary of living in Britain, I haven’t given up to the stereotype of a Spanish holiday once, until this year. There was no specific reason I haven’t visited in the past, other than my interests gravitating more towards city breaks and a cultural variety of things to do versus the sun, sand and sea situation in which resting is the number one priority. I prefer walking tours, man made attractions and architecture. This year I had an opportunity to experience both of the destination types of Spain, the coast of Costa Blanca and the city of Madrid.
